45 The Offspring albums
A group The Offspring has been created in 1984 by schoolmates from the Californian city Orange County Deksterom Holland (a real name Bryan) and Greg Kriselom. The idea to create group has come to them under impression of concert Social Distortion. Holland began to play a guitar, Krisel on a bass guitar. As the vocalist Doug Thompson has been invited, its friend Jim Benton became the drummer.
The early period (1984 1987)
The primary name of group - «Maniac Subsidal». Soon Thompson and Benton have left group, and Holland has incurred a role of the vocalist, and James Lilja became the drummer. In 1985 name of group it has been changed on The Offspring. In 1986 the first single has been let out: «Ill Be Waiting/Blackball», published independently on own "label" «Black Label record company», named in honor of the mark of whisky with the same name. The single circulation has made 1000 copies. Soon Lilja also has decided to leave The Offspring for continuation of career in the field of medicine, and behind shock installation it was replaced by Ron Uelti who at that point in time was only 16 years old.
In the end of 1985 Holland has entered the university Southern California (University of Southern California, USC), Vasserman at that time finished college, Krisel worked over degree on economy, and Uelti was trained in electronics at local private school. Despite a busy schedule, the group rehearsed on days off.
