John Cooper was born in 1975, and all childhood has spent in Memphis. At the age of five years John has accepted for the first time meaningly the Christ in the heart. In 5th class John has started to listen Petra and as it grew in a religious family, any music in style fate in Cooper's house was considered from a devil. Before allowing to listen to John to this or that album, at first it was necessary to meet with approval of parents. But John nevertheless has defended the position, and began to listen to fate, but performed by Christians. Basically John listened Amy Grant and Russ Taff, and gradually John has started to learn elements of guitar skill.

For the first time John has started to play to group when to it 14 years were executed. Basically then he played independently a version cover as his parents forbade it to listen to non-Christian music of the house. When to John it was executed 15, it with the friends has organized group Tribulation.

A bit later John has sat down on music of Christian rock commands Barren Cross and Guardian, and at the same time began to listen Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Motley Crue, etc. But for the first time not John has bought a Christian musical disk, when to it was executed eighteen years.

Because of a fashion on heavy John has wanted to create collective in which it was possible to be frontman, but John didn't have such voice, as at John Bon Jovi or Vince Nejla. Except metal John listened also to a glam rock, but to level John too didn't hold out, and didn't pull as Ellis Cooper.

Fortunately for John to 1992 pop metal and heavy were bent, and on change has comegrang, and with this style new heroes – Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) and Eddi Veddera (Pearl Jam) have come. The grang vocal was just on a shoulder to John, and the dream to become frontman was embodied in a reality.
