Rage Against the Machine (in abbreviated form RATM) — the American alternative group existing with 1991 for 2000, and reunited in 2007. In their music heavy rock and hip-hop elements (style has received the name «rapcore»), but more all known for the extremely left political views are combined. Their texts and public statements contained the sharp criticism of the American imperialism, capitalism, globalization, wars, and also support of such subjected to repression figures, as Mumia Abu-Dzhamal, Leonard Peltier and Abimael Guzman. On the performances the group repeatedly burned the American flag.
