Electronic duet M83 has been based in 2000 in the French city of Antib by two friends – Anthony Gonsales and Nicolas Fromazhe. Having written down in house studio the first 8 tracks, children have dispatched them on sound recording studios, and in the beginning of 2001 label Gooom has let out the first album M83 which and was called – «M83». In the summer of the same year Gonsalesu and Fromazhe was presented possibility to test products on public – they have taken part in festivals Aquaplanning, Route du Rock and prestigious Sonar in Barcelona. Concerts followed one after another, popularity M83 grew also a record-company has made decision to republish the first album of a duet, having added with its new track, as has been made in the autumn of 2002. Then record of the second album has begun, at participation Nicolas Barle and Morgan Dagene's sound-prodjusserov, and also the several invited vocalists. The album which has turned out as a result named «Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts» and left on famous the British label Mute Records, has appeared much stronger and mature, than its predecessor.

Almost right after release of the second album of Nicolas Fromazhe has departed from affairs and M83 Anthony Gonsalesa who in January, 2005 has let out the third album under mark M83 «Before The Dawn Heals Us» has turned to the solo project.

The latest album under the name «Saturdays = Youth» is let out in the spring 2008 on label Mute Records.
