The history of this collective has begun in 1994 in the German city of Goettingen where friends - bass player Stefan Ude together played, drummer Dennis Poshvatta and guitarist Henning Reminepp. Anybody about them also didn't know, and is possible they so and remained in obscurity, don't come guys somehow into a bar in which Sandra Nasich worked. After the fair use of beer the company has started to sing songs and so it is good at them it turned out that Sandra too has joined them. The turn here has come to be surprised to guys since they couldn't hear till now such powerful voice. Children have suggested Sandr to join at once their command. Being called "Guano Apes", the group seriously undertook rehearsals.

The first concert of collective has taken place in school cafeteria when musicians have earned the whole box of beer. Some months group acted on small clubs. In one of them it was noticed also by Bjorn Grall who has become by the manager of the team. With its help "Guano Apes" for a year have given more than 100 concerts, with each of which their popularity in the homeland steadily grew. But the status of local stars it has appeared to musicians poorly. They dreamed of world career and have decided to begin with conquest of States. And when in the end of 1997 the sufficient material for the first album has been saved up, Bjorn Grall has started to carry on negotiations with some New York writing down companies.
