Elvis Aaron Presley (on January, 8th 1935 - on August, 16th 1977) - the American singer, the musician, the producer and the actor known under "title" «King of a rock'n'roll» or simply "King".

Elvis was born in Tjupelo, Mississipi in a poor family and the childhood has spent in area for poor men where the white lived in the neighbourhood with the black. When to Elvis was 13, the family has moved to Memphis, Tennesi, "Mecca" of a blues. Elvis grew in the heart of root American music, absorbing along with "white" musical tradition rich "black" sources of music of the American South.

In 1953 at studio «Sun Records» Elvis ostensibly under the pretext of a gift of mother on birthday has made the first demonstration record which didn't remain the studio not noticed by the owner Sam Filipsom, and a year later on «Sun» Elvis first single which has turned music world has been let out. «That’s All Right, Mama» became Elvis first local hit. Within 1954-1955 Elvis promptly typed popularity at first in Memphis and vicinities, and then and on all American South. During this period it was noticed by the manager "Colonel" Thomas A.Parker who has organized in the end of 1955 for Elvis the contract with the largest American label, specializing on popular music, RCA Victor. Thus, Presley's records entered the wide American market.

The song «Heartbreak Hotel» in the beginning 1956 became Elvis first hit on RCA, it was followed by a chain of not less successful hits: «Blue Suede Shoes», «I Want You, I Need You, I Love You», «Hound Dog», «Don’t Be Cruel», «All Shook Up», etc.
