In group one more participant - Letoya Luckett has been accepted. Thus, the group has been definitively generated and the next years has begun the ascension to a musical Olympus. Long time of the girl acted in clubs of native city Houston, won local public, in passing opening road such nowadays to known executors as SWV, Dru Hill and Immature while, at last, in 1997 sound recording company Columbia hasn't signed their first serious contract with group. Then for group other name - Destiny’s Child (it is taken from section of Bible The Book of Isaiah) also has been chosen.
